It’s because many men don’t see women as real people. It’s not something that’s inherent to the nature of men that makes them want to abandon all partners and would therefore equally effect gay men, it’s completely about how women are viewed.
It's not just in Germany lol. It's in the United States too. Women are wired to be with guys who are providers and they're wired to want to start a family. In her eyes, she does not see you as a provider and therefore is concerned how starting a family would be feasible with you.
I am having this same disagreement with my husband btw and I'm Egyptian. My husband works basically part-time but makes same wage as me. I get on his case about not utilizing his free time to do a side business, a second job, to build more savings for a future. Once that savings has been met, he can drop the side business or second job. I was met with complete and total resistance from my husband. It is a growing tension as well. It's not healthy to have that much free time – remember the pandemic? How much free time we all had? We were driven into depression because we didn't know what to do with that free time. I'm convinced that since my husband went remote, he's been more depressed with all that free time on his hand. He had too much time to overthink on life's and the world's issues. 3-4 hours is considered a reasonable amount of free time, but any more or less than that isn't healthy.
Research came out that this is the norm for millennial men to not have as much of a career ambition and not wanting to be a bread winner especially. They rather have low pay and low stress jobs. In that research, it came out also that millennial women are either choosing to be single & have their own families or marrying much older men. I was not thrilled to see this kind of news because that makes me worried for myself…
The likelihood of you finding a female that's okay with your kind of lifestyle is very low. It would have to be a lady that doesn't want kids. Someone who doesn't want kids will also not care if you have a house or not.
