Then the eggs are inseminated and the now embryos are inserted into the uterus by a catheter through the vagina/cervix. That's not counting the hormones and drugs you're given by multiple shots to increase egg production.
IVF is an extremely invasive, expensive procedure that's really hard on women's bodies.
