That's absolutely disgusting and an awful excuse to not shower. I couldn't date, much less marry a man who doesn't shower daily at a minimum. The only valid reason you should have to coax a partner into bathing is if they're extremely depressed or something. You can take care of your skin while still bathing often. I shower at least twice a day. Once in the morning, and then again after the gym in the evening. Sometimes I'll take a third shower if the gym was earlier in the day.
Your wife has poor hygiene. Not because of depression or disability, but because she chooses to be nasty. And she expects you to tolerate it. You've tolerated it for years while dating, becoming another enabler for her. Her parents obviously enabled her too since she doesn't think hygiene is important at all.
She's even being manipulative by saying you're making her feel ugly or not attracted to her just because you want her to bathe! She'd rather manipulate you and emotionally abuse you than to get in the shower! How insane is that?
