  1. Dude I'm a cyclist. There is no way they did that at a cycling event/race. Unless maybe if its was some type of gag event that I am unaware of…..

I am so intrigued that I am going to post at some of the cycling subreddits.

  2. It sounds like you’re going to have to deal with it. This woman knows no boundaries, and likely will never stop. My grandma is the same way. ?

  3. How is it misogyny to oppose a trade that perpetuates violence against women and human trafficking?

  4. That’s like a truth joke. She would be down for it but if you reacted badly she could turn around and say she was just kidding. Why would she want to date your bf anyways if she looks down on him for having a learning disability? She just wants someone to want her.

  5. I was in a similar situation before and personally I think this is a pretty common problem for people who grew up studying hard and with a huge focus on academics overall. After years and years of equating good grades to intelligence, it can feel unnerving to enter the 'adult' world where there are people with all different levels of knowledge and your academic knowledge is not so useful after all. First of all I would say stop panicking because you can't acquire all knowledge instantly. As you age you will learn so many things just through experiences alone. I am 24 now and just 3 years ago I knew so much less than I do now, even though I didn't go out of my way to leaen stuff. Secondly, don't define your self-worth by intelligence. There are so many other aspects of personality that are equally if not more valuable than 'intelligence'. Being an emotionally aware, friendly and empathic person are very important, you don't necessarily need a lot of 'knowledge' to be a decent, likeable person.

As for obtaining new knowledge, don't be afraid to ask questions. There are no stupid questions. If you don't know how to cook something, fix your bike tyre or how something is made, just google it or read about it. Not everyone had parents who showed them those things and not everyone had the time to learn all that.

  6. I put up with zero misogyny in my relationship and we have been with each other almost a decade and are married. If I notice any sexism I bring it up, we discuss, and we resolve. My man loves me and wants to be his best self. Similarly if he has issues he brings it up and we figure it out. He has helped me overcome my own internalized misogyny in many ways.

If you are accepting misogyny, you should reconsider how much you love and respect yourself. No good man will sit comfortably in his own misogyny, much less make you.
