What could you do? Cut out the friend he hates, and that keeps making mess of your relationship. You can admit you have been a shit partner, and ask him what is it he would want to change in what ways. He should do a written list.
If I were him I would start from telling you to shit on your “friend” in messages before blocking her, to ensure she woyld hate you, and you wouldn't reconnect. Then again, I wouldn't stay in this mess until this point.
