I was my fathers favourite and he was abusive in so many ways. Groping and lurking and watching me naked as I was growing up. But not just that, he would come to me in the middle of the night with a backpack and tell me to pack a bag because he couldn’t stand to be here anymore with my mum. Said we were leaving to get up and packed and dressed and wait for him. And I did because he played me and my mum off each other and I thought she hated me. And I waited and we never left. And he would wink the next mornign and tell me to be ready. And I was ready to leave for a decade and the amount of trauma that shit caused is still being worked out with my therapist! You’re judging your girlfriend when you probably don’t know everything!
