I wouldn’t be doing this on my own I have a huge family and im very stable and own my home with a degree I have a huge support system and everything is developing perfectly so far it’s obviously a miracle and I would never kill anything especially living inside of me
Funny, I interpreted the situation the same way that new wife was already in the picture somehow before divorce was finalized. Maybe she's being so nice towards OP because of that. Maybe ex didn't do anything with her before finalizing the divorce but there already was a chemistry or whatever. Not necessarily new wife's fault as such if they just fell in love. Depression often leads to divorce. OP could start discovering the things that make her happy and fulfills her life. That could bring the kids back around, but I think the ties to her mom and other family have changed inevitably.
I absolutely love Monty Python!!! I don't want to be serious tho. I hope I'm not stuck with this personality trait my entire life. I never felt comfortable around my dad because he is so serious and it hurts me to think I inherited that trait.
Absolutely

A clear pattern starts somewhere.
It started the moment he ignored you in favor of his own pleasure.
Time to run a thousand miles.

I agree, if this makes her want to leave him when he clearly needs help… goodbye !
If you can afford it couples therapy will be helpful. You deserve to communicate properly.

Just maintain the friendship and give it a few months. I’m going through something similar
