My history teacher in high school coached girls soccer. As for what makes her amazing: She’s physically attractive She has a great personality, character, and is genuine She’s very smart, probably smarter than me She comes from a good, healthy family We have the same religious beliefs We share the same values of wanting to wait until marriage for sex (this may be controversial but it’s important for me and something that I feel is increasingly rare these days)
After our first date, I did mention it and say I had a lot of fun. She responded and essentially said the same thing. Maybe I’m overthinking but I wonder if she would have said that if I hadn’t brought it up.
As for paying, I’m just saying I’m 100% happy for paying for now. When I ask her out I intend on paying, I don’t want to be inconsiderate by asking her out on a date and asking her to help pay. However, after a few dates I do think it’s reasonable for her to offer to pay or split some costs at least.
The whole “glossing over” thing definitely bugs me, I don’t know why she would read something I say and not acknowledge it whatsoever. It’s happened a couple times now and is just odd.
The thought of her using me for free stuff is something I’ve considered. However we’re basically long-distance currently as we live in different states. We’ve been on two dates and there’s a little physical touch and hugging, we haven’t kissed yet but she’s definitely hinted that she wants to. We talk on the phone just about every day and text throughout the day as well. This makes me less inclined to believe she’s using me for free stuff, as that’s a lot of time invested on her end for the occasional free dinner once every 3-4 weeks.
She will be moving to my state in a few months and has talked a lot about the future dates we can go on together and how we can spend time together once we’re closer. This, combined with our shared values and attraction, is what makes me think we could potentially have a lasting relationship.

People do NOT miss the connecting flight while eating on the flight home from a conference. At the end of the conference you are dead on your feet and exhausted. The only way I can see this happen is if there was a last minute terminal change that he missed the announcement for (that happened to me last summer and my daughters and I just made it to the flight on time, barely).
