I’ve been on several types of birth control over the years all sorts of pills, low hormone, mini pill, regular, nexplanon (caused the worst weight gain) Weight gain is unfortunately the biggest side effect of all of them. She is probably well aware of it it’s impossible not to be. But the only way to lose it is lifestyle change and removing the cause which is the birth control. She needs to talk to her doctor, research NFP and use condoms. Her getting off birth control will help a lot especially with depression and sex drive.
