We have been long distance and I have made several trips over to her so we could be together, but I was planning on moving there to be with her. So maybe the strain of long distance?
I admit I had my faults. But honestly we were truly good together. We brought out different sides to one another. My reasoning for breaking things off is because I felt as if she was too comfortable with my being her only friend. She was even going to uproot her entire life to move out of state to where I’m at. At first I thought it was okay. But as our relationship progressed I realized that that’s not healthy nor fair to her. Even though she chose those things on her own. The first time wasn’t even me leaving. She left me at first. She was struggling emotionally with things in her life and didn’t know how to articulate it to me. I reached out and she wouldn’t respond. She finally contacted me back after a week. Then we resolved the issue.
I do recognize that I hurt her. I do. I feel extremely guilty about it. But I did break up with her so that she could grow without me. Not maliciously. And when I did text her I may have exaggerated but it was about two text messages since our break up, up until she contacted me. I had moments of weakness where I reached out but one of those times was to let her know after months of NC that I got the package she sent me. Which I had no knowledge that she was even sending.
