As someone who is single, loneliness honestly sucks and you aren’t missing out on much there. As far as study abroad goes maybe you can both do it together? I know you go to different schools but there may be overlapping programs in the same place or something. Or you could go off and study abroad by yourself and write letters like the old times. That’d give you a sense of independence and opportunity to be on your own, and it would be a test to see if your relationship is strong enough to survive.
