Why is he so insistent on you staying in a hotel? It seems really weird, unless he’s convinced he’ll get laid as soon as you meet in person and he woo’s you? Oh no. Yeah, that definitely sounds like something is up. Little to no expression of affection or love when there previously was expression is a definite sign. It honestly might be best to ask her what her feelings are and if it's best for you two to be separated.
