Seriously though – in the bigger picture, if she's being that uncareful with medicine now, what happens if you have kids in a couple of years and a toddler finds a pill?
I don't know if this is the only major issue in your relationship, or if there are other things at play here, but for the way she handles medicine it's worth it to keep revisiting that conversation.
As for the dependency she seems to have on the stuff: I'd set up an appointment and take her to your GP. Don't let her weasel out of it – addictions are serious and sometimes we need a little help from a kickstarter to get the mental engine running and working on the problem.

OP, does he think he's cursed like this? If so, there's a huge chance that he's bringing this on himself by that thought. I've seen it happen before. A few bits of bad luck and someone assumes it's always going to be that way and so it is.
Three times I've seen someone perform a symbolic exorcism of bad spirits or karmic rebalancing. Three times that person has emerged “cured” of their bad luck simply because they believed it would change. You may want to look into that.
