Meh the sexualisation of school kids in so so many animes is a massive problem, it's disgusting. If he can't see it it's because he doesn't want to and I'm not sure I'd be okay with someone that doesn't see that as a problem.
Going forwards I'd vet the anime yourself before you agree to watch it and refuse to join him in the excessively fan servicey shows. You won't be missing much anyway, the better animes don't rely on fan service.
I have to be honest– I have personally just never met a couple with this type of rule that wasn't bad for each other. Maybe it's a bad take for THIS relationship, but I think generally this tends to affect a relationship over time in a negative way. I think therapy is more effective when you want to work on trauma and insecurity, but as long as they are not hurting anyone and they are happy, then, yeah, they can do whatever they want. I feel like its not productive, because they are not working on the root of the problem, but God's speed.
