  1. If it's falling off in the sink you should get it resized… What's the ring made of? It should be more durable enough not to be ruined opening boxes. Maybe start using box cutters at work, so you aren't ripping stuff.

  2. Your relationship is built on lies, and none of you were prepared for what you have done. I pity the child, and good luck

  3. If you have no family history of addiction (of any kind) then you should be fine. That doesn’t mean go crazy on them but a careful controlled start should be fine. If you’re breastfeeding I would just ask your obstetrician or the pediatrician of your baby before starting opioids.

There are also other non-medicinal alternatives to physical pain. Look into musical therapy for pain management, meditation for pain management and I hate to say it but the stress your husband is causing you is also aggravating your physical pain. Waiting to be pain-free to deal with your husband as some commenters here suggest might not help with your physical pain. Maybe have him go somewhere else for a few weeks while you manage your physical pain (wether with opioids or other alternatives or both) would be a good idea. Also amazing that your brother is coming to help everyday. Try to get some sleep when your brother gets home while he’s taking care of the baby (lack of sleep exasperates physical pain as well).

I would also (if you have the means to) hire a house keeper to take care of any day-to-day cleaning that way you only give your energy to the baby and yourself and nothing else. And speaking of yourself, most moms (especially new ones) forget they exist and neglect themselves. Please don’t do that. Your body will heal much faster if you take care of yourself in all aspects (including emotional and mental). Treat your self even if you’re bed ridden. Light candles, watch your favorite show, read your favorite book again. You are important and your baby deserves a happy mommy.

  4. This man isn't the man for you. If he loved and cared about you, if he was emotionally mature and capable of considering your feelings–or if he felt any shred of empathy at all–he would have stopped, apologised rather than complained, and made sure you were okay.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this, and I hope you decide not to deal with it any longer. There are better, more caring men out there for you.
