There’s tremendous pressure in long distance relationships, especially if you’re not in the same nation. There’s a lot of sacrifice, and he may be indicating he isn’t sure it’s worth the risk because of where he is in his life.
I’ve been pretty regular on checking his browser history, deleted history, emails, incognito, etc. I just didn’t know he had the Reddit app on his phone.
He said he wanted to be in a relationship (and probably all the perks associated). Then you refused. You should try to find what you want as he already told you. I would be very confused if I were him.
It just smells like headaches/bigger chances of drama. Not worth the gamble for most guys, it is what it is. We ll do what it takes for our peace of mind, especially when it comes to rs.

You could try suggesting casually that he share his bank statements with you each month so that you can go over his spending. His reaction might be interesting.
Another possibility is to tell him he has no business demanding that when you're paying more than your half.
