There's a range of ages in every grade. 18 is the average, 17 is the low end, 19 is the high end. If your parents put you in school late depending on when you were born (different schools systems, different cutoff dates on when you can be put in school). So a person can be born in April of the prior year and turn 19 before graduation. Then after graduation everyone with late birthdays turn 19 while they are in college, let's Jan – Mar of the following year. They were all born within the same year though.

I lived away from my family for many years. When I moved back in 2016, my twin sister would get emotionally elevated pretty regularly. And once elevated, she processed everything incorrectly. There was just no way to get through to my normal sister. I slowly began mentioning this to her, but only when she was in a safe space. I also noticed she didn’t get a lot of positive feedback, and started to be verbal about what a great person she is, and she really is! Funny and smart and insightful and caring, I could go on! It’s been at least a year or more since she got emotionally elevated, she’s really improved herself in confidence and self awareness. I tell you this because we’re 55 fucking years old. It takes years to make what is learned in therapy a part of who you are.
She’s emotionally elevated. You stood firm. That’s really hard to do. And good for you. You can’t see this now, but it’s likely the best thing you could have done for her. When being crazy emotional doesn’t work, and eventually the emotions deflate, there’s a part of her that will wonder about her part in it. A good therapist will confirm it wasn’t just you. It’ll become a part of her moving forward.
OP your birthday is the least of your worries…the fact that he doesn’t do anything for you for your birthdays is only a symptom of the deeper, ACTUAL problem: he’s a raging asshole.

Seriously, so many issues here beyond the unannounced guests. It doesn’t sound like he wants to build a life together as equal partners, it sounds like he wants live-in sex and subsidized rent and probably someone to clean up after his trashy friends as well.
If she wants to go back to work, and you guys earn well, here’s some suggestions to keep the load at home as light as possible:
Hire a cleaner 1-2 times a week.
-Order healthy meal deliveries so you can avoid takeaways (either pre made healthy meals that you store in fridge or freezer, or those “make a meal bag” like we have My Food Bag and Hello Fresh in New Zealand. Or batch cook on a weekend.
Send your laundry out for washing/folding.
Both manage your hours of work as best you can, try and agree what time you’ll both aim to be home.
Another suggestion – if she earns as much as you, or near enough, why don’t you become a stay at home dad? 🙂
