First thing is to see a psychiatrist who’ll actually be able to diagnose you and give you the appropriate treatment. DID is pretty rare and comes with a lot of serious symptoms and traumas so self diagnosis won’t do.
Your partner also needs to see his doctor and to either get the appropriate treatment or to reevaluate his treatment if he gets outburst.
Mental illnesses aren’t casual, cool, edgy stuff you deal with on your own. They are real illnesses often caused by problems in hormonal balance (sometimes stress or trauma induced) and they need to be properly treated or medicated when needed. You don’t deal with that on your own hoping to live with it or for it to magically improve/disappear (unless you have a short depressive episode). You wouldn’t try to self diagnose diabetes and you would get the proper treatment, same goes for mental illnesses.
Get proper treatment and best of luck to you two!
