  1. Yep, she's gay, and that means there's zero physical attraction and zero intimacy (at least zero intimacy she enjoys), which means the rest of the relationship (whatever there was) also withers and dies. That's how you end up being married to someone who you don't care much about when they are sick.

Physical intimacy, and being matching sexual orientations, are both pretty important!

  2. How nice of both of you! Giving her a night out or a day with her best friends is a great gift. Is she into movies? Music? Art? What’s her favorite restaurant or one she has always wanted to try? If you can afford it, pairing up an activity with a meal: brunch, lunch or dinner, would give them a few hours of fun.

  3. Yeah, i think you overreacted quite a lot here. He didnt say he didnt like it or anything, he just pointed out a small inconsitency.

  4. He's not just an asshole, he's the person who sexually assaulted you, a person who committed a crime punishable by law. You telling about what happened wouldn't be outing him, but trying to protect and help yourself in a horrible situation. Even if that night you “had sex” with him was consensual, it doesn't give him the right to assault you afterwards by trying to forcefully kiss you. There's a thing called spousal rape for example. One spouse can have consensual sex with the other to one day be raped by that same spouse. Consent isn't something that is given to the other person once to last forever, it's something that should be given for every particular sexual contact. But I understand why you're downplaying his behavior. I did the exact same thing for a while after a guy tried to rape me. It was hard for me to accept I was a victim. Even after getting home with a torn shirt and bruises, I was still trying to rationalize his behavior and blame myself. And I saw that same mechanism in all the victims of rape/sexual assault I met through my line of work by now. You're not an idiot. You did NOTHING wrong. You got drunk on a night out. That's all you really did. Something millions of normal young people around the world sometimes do. You just had the misfortune that someone took advantage of you while you were in that state. Because that's what really happened. Try to talk to the counselor about your feelings. It helps.
