Hey, I am geniunly curious about your way of thinking. And I acknowledge many people here seem to have a very similar mindset to yours.
I would absolutely HATE it if my boyfriend told me he's going out to hangout with his ex. I've been cheated on twice and it was always with an ex. So it might be a trauma thing. I wouldn't be worried they would “start making out in public and run off together”. I would be worried they would reconnect, rekindle something, start texting, start meeting up more often and then maybe start something sketchy.
So I am really curious on how you handle that? Do you not mind at all? Do you and your partner often hang out alone (or let's say in public but just the two of you) with your exes? Because I for example don't really have the need fo reach out to most of my exes. I don't resent them but I don't feel the need to catch up like that.
Btw, I'm not trying to provoke something here, this is a genuine question and I'm actually envious of the chill attitude people can have when their partner still has some sort of freindship with their ex.

I dated someone that she acts like this toward ppl she cares about. She said that her being super anal about everything is how she shows she wants the best for them. Fuck-man put me onto the list of ppl you don't give a fuck about, cuz they get treated better. It's a very manipulative tactic to get the other person to tolerate their temper.
