Thank you for posting this. My wife has gastro paresis, and I must admit….I can’t relate to OP. I want nothing more than to magically make her better and get as close as I can.
But she is still dealing so internally with it it can be hard to know what’s going on with her. And reading this meant a lot.
And OP…I’m sorry. I don’t relate to you. But I also don’t judge you. It’s a fucking hard road. We downloaded expectations of life, we have some unique things that help us, and you may find those things if you need them but they aren’t like…advice. They are luck. They’re twisting into pretzels and accepting now. They’re giving up hope, not in a depressing way, but in a “let’s live and enjoy today instead of stressing about what might or might not happen tomorrow.”
But I also understand why someone can’t just pivot like that. You’re story is heart breaking. I hope you find a way to find through this. I send both of you so much love.

I think it’s kinda weird that these things are being told to you by “A” that “S” has said… but “S” has never before ever mentioned or acted like he doesn’t want you there? Or did you just not mention that part?
It makes me think that either “S” hasn’t actually said anything about you not allowed to be there so much and “A” is using it as an excuse…
Or
“S” said to “A” something like: hey your GF is living here 1/2 of each week… you owe more for rent $ (which would be completely reasonable, since you are a 1/2 time roommate & do use utilities and such) and “A” can’t afford it or doesn’t want to pay it.
Yeah, if I asked a good friend to move in I'd think it would work because we could chill and enjoy doing stuff together, that wouldn't mean sharing with their partner too.
