Yeah I think people are really missing the fact that being furry is specifically hated on by a lot of people. Whether or not being a furry is a kink isn't really the thing here. Even if he had gone “Hey, I'm submissive” or whatever, the general reaction by a lot of people is not to automatically make fun of it. So he's probably a lot more sensitive about it because he knows a lot of people will make fun of him for it, hence why he reacted so strongly to being laughed at in this situation.
