I was torn on this one but reading your comment changed my mind. Right out of college doesn’t necessarily mean thinking about a future together. It’s possible but may not be a serious conversation yet. It’s actually still extremely young. 21/22ish? Plenty more to consider before marriage. Getting a job, especially with the economy the way it is right now is a bigger concern.
I’m not a Taylor Swift fan but getting tickets to her concerts is absolutely not easy. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for her. She will have others but you may not get tickets. At that age, I would say go to the concert and OP can decide if it’s breakup worthy.
Having different opinions sometimes it's just the way it is even on big issues. If you can live with that then power to you
However the problem here is if there's a difference of opinion about something that actually can impact your lives as in if you get pregnant That's a whole different story.
I mean if you have a different opinion on electric cars then I guess you can live with that difference as long as you're all paying for your own cars
But if you have a different opinion about pregnancy and choice and there's a possibility that 1 of you can get pregnant…. That feels like a boundary I personally could not live with
First of all, your husband is 50 years old and is still going to House parties? Second, your sister is a known alcoholic and you left her alone with your husband? Third, you guys were supposedly at a house party. Then somehow ended back up at your house. With her being alone with him downstairs while you fell asleep….. While you would have had to have brought her to your house mind you.
Not to mention the inconsistencies of the story itself. One moment you guys are at a party. The next moment you are apparently at your house sleeping alone for some reason. And then the next moment you say that she doesn't remember getting home… And I find it equally unplausible that your sister lives with you.
It’s probably hard right now but try to see the good side of this: you could have married a liar and a cheater. Build a home with them only to find out they’re banging the first person that will give them a bit of attention ….the anxiety when she’s late from work, the too many work trips ect ect…a difficult divorce. I say its a blessing; cut your losses and run. and find someone that share your values.
I’m not a therapist and I don’t know if this is ok but
You know what stopped it. Looking them in the eye saying, “don’t you ever say/do that again! You’re not funny, you’re mean” & then immediately leaving and not talking to anyone involved for 2 days -and do it everytime they did something stupid. It really cut down the nonsense in our family.
Not talking to them keeps them from justifying it and they can’t feel like they have the ability to make you accept it. ?♀️
Y’all are forever committed. Y’all have 2 kids. ???? you created more offspring with an idiot! Please show him the comments of this post. When will folks have the hard conversation BEFORE making a serious decision.
That's not what a paternity test is. This isn't some mild sort of safety net. He's questioning her loyalty without having any reason to.
Women have lots of reasons to have safety funds, especially if they've been in relationships with men who do things like demand paternity tests and set conditions around their partners' behavior before they even have kids.
Shit I gave up halfway. At a certain point you really have to look at yourself and ask:”do I like myself right now?”
This dude has OP acting straight up crazy. Like at what point is she going to gain same self awareness. He is not going to change; he like the fact that you are driving yourself nuts trying to get answers.

The only thing that you need to cut is this stupid man out of your life babe
When did you turn the odd age? 2 days ago, round down, 11 1/2 months ago? Round up.

This story is so unbelievable.

Sounds like he took advantage of your drunk sister to me. Sister sounds like she has a drinking problem. Both have issues.
You poor sweet baby. This is not love. This isn't even like. It's control and stupidity.
Yes. Really grosses me out when people who are going to be therapists do this stuff, shame it's too early to show on their license

My family was like this. Mean pranks or jokes.
