Essentially I would provide more data to prove that you are a member of the family, as there is no way of knowing, if younger members of the extended family even know of your existence. I’d also not necessarily mention the abuse right away, as family skeletons in the first interaction, tend to be quite difficult for the person receiving it. I’d only go into detail, if your cousin asks. Finally, I would also state, what you are hoping for, such as messaging or a personal meeting. I would also mention the autism part, as (at least for me as NT person) knowing the other person is autistic makes me life much easier and I can adjust interactions accordingly, plus not get offended by things that might upset me in a NT interaction.
