Regardless, you should end this. He clearly needs a lot more therapy and treatment to be able to handle adult life and an adult relationship, and frankly it sounds like he's more interested in falling apart and getting attention than actually putting the work into improvement. It's not your obligation to spend the rest of your life coddling him like a child, and there doesn't seem to be any indication that the relationship will be getting better if you stick around.
