2. Surely, the consensus will be to end this and get on with getting on. I mean, from an outsiders' perspective, the drama here staggering. This is made even more so because there's very little that you did to cause all of this – save for not standing up to Mark much, much earlier. Which is to say, there aren't a whole lot of lessons on your part. But there are on Emily's.

   Emily should hopefully learn a lot about herself and she needs to really take in her actions and accountabilities. Reconnecting with you, especially so shortly after all of this went down, is the easiest way for her to avoid those lessons.

   But, if you want to consider having a relationship with Emily, you should still walk away for a spell. Give it a year. Go out, meet new people, date some more women. And hopefully she'll do the same (but men though). If after a year and change, once you both have had distance from all of this, if y'all are both still single and interested in one another, start over with date number one. If both of you can get some perspective, maybe this is still salvagable. Though, you are playing against the odds.
