Your feelings are valid. It's just your decision whether you can get over it and drop it. Personally, I would feel very bothered about that kind of stuff. She obviously knew your were also gonna make a big deal out of it because she didn't tell you the first year. It doesn't matter if she broke it off before you guys started formally dating. She lied about who she was. You thought you were on the same page about things with similar values and perspective about romantic relationships. I bet you'd not even date her if you knew she was hooking up with this other guy. Those weeks you were getting to know each other was building the foundation of your relationship. She hid things purposefully. Idk man, this is so off. It's also weird she just blurted it out unprompted. She might've thought it's a good time where you'd not be that bothered anymore. Don't listen to people that say it's normal. No, it's not.

Definitely not another 5 years lol I’ve felt this end coming for a while now just didn’t want to accept it I guess which I take blame for being selectively stupid and blind to so many warnings . At least I learned a lot of lessons on what not to do next time around !
That's fair!! A big thing I've been working on in therapy this year is about how my boundaries and expectations are for myself, not morals to put onto other people. I'm still struggling with that in certain areas. I cut a vacation short to fly home for her birthday, but that doesn't mean she's obligated to do anything for mine. just means that in the future I can set my expectations accordingly for her future birthdays and stuff (not in a petty way but just in a give what you get kinda way)

Baby steps. You should start this weekend. Tell your girls your plan and you want to start living a fun, wild, free life. Maybe plan a trip somewhere, even if it's just a drive.
She's lonely. Does she drive? Perhaps you can help her find fun activities. Is there a Senior Center in her area?
