First of all it is not a big age gap.
Secondly females tend to mature faster then males. This is actually a scientific fact.
Girls hit puberty eariler then boys, by at lest 2-3 years. This is the main factor in this whole thing. Before puberty girls and boys mature at the same rate but since girls hit puberty faster they become biological adults faster and after puberty you normally change a lot and fast. A 30 year old woman is not really more mature than a 30 year old man, however an 18 year old woman is a lot more mature then an 18 year old man. So in your case this age gap is totally normal and actually healthy.
Also you will “feel” the age difference less and less if you get older. Think about this. When she was born you were three and half or something. The age gap between a newborn and a three and a half year old is tremendous. Now think about her being 12 and you being 16. A 16 year old dating a 12 year old sounds really wrong and that age gap would also still be a huge deal then. Also I doubt that many 16 year olds would befriend 12 year olds. At your current age I would say, as I explained it is not a big deal anymore, you both are young adults and since women mature faster your psychological maturity should not be that far apart. Four yours still looks a lot on paper maybe. Now if you are 60 she will be 54, then the age gap will be literally meaningless at all.
That won’t help. The cats are already used to going over there to look for food and if any pills get dropped on the floor they will eat them thinking they’re treats.
What they should do is get one of those weekly pill dispenser/containers. Keep the bottle in the bathroom & fill the container once a week. They’re small enough to fit in a nightstand drawer and there’s no chance of them spilling since there’s only one pill per section.

I am the daughter of an alcoholic and now getting divorced from one. If you drinking one beer in the evening when experiencing high stress it's not an immediate worry. But it's something to keep an eye on if you come from a family of Alcoholics and if you have no other way to cope with stress.
