4. Dude here with general anxiety. You can be as supportive as possible but what will really help him is for him to take control of the situation. First step is for him to read 10 simple solutions to worry, it's a book about cbt. I remember reading the book and I was guilty of all of the mental traps, its a slow process but you need to change the way you look at things to really get better.

5. OP, I am crying with happiness at this update. I'm sure getting over depression and making friends etc will be a journey for you but it is so good to hear all you have done already. You are learning so much so fast- and are on such a great path- good luck to both of you!

6. You say he is good to you because he doesn't get angry a t you, insults you or yells at you. You even find it weird that he doesn't do this? You know that it is actually the minimum not to do this? I wonder what you experienced that you think not get treated like shit is weird and makes you a good person… Maybe you just expressed yourself wrong, but if your past was really full of abuse, you need to go to therapy. Your views of how a healthy relationship should look like seems to be messed up and this can end up dangerous. Like here. You are so thankful to not get mistreated that you even overlook that he just use you.
