   It needs not necessarily be an ongoing infatuation.

   If he is a righteous guy having slipped once may make him be inclined to yield to blackmailing.

   She may also have dropped onto something fraudulous on his workplace.

   You can't tell.

4. It could be innocent, but usually if I would ever do anything out of my ordinary routine like that, I’d tell my spouse about it.

   Best case and least likely is he’s stopping by a buddy’s house for some reason and didn’t think to tell you… more likely than not though, it’s something you’d be mad about he’s trying to hide (cheating, drugs, whatever).
