You weren't entirely wrong about Benadryl, in other countries like the UK it isn't the same drug as it is in the US and so it's not a sleep aid (cus Benadryl is only the name of the brand) though you can get the same drug over the counter for sleep issues, it just wouldn't be called Benadryl.

Oh my I appreciate this so much!! I have communicated many ways about space. Both walking out and saying it in a calm tone. I feel drained and I am just so tired of the arguments. And as far as the I don’t feel he is listening goes- he didn’t even remember my work schedule I had for 6 months and idk maybe it’s just plain ignorance but yeah. That is a “hell no” from me. Especially, with the history you described combine with her motive for wanting this. Her motive has a childish not seeing the forest from the trees feel to it. Also, I would have too much of a hard time trying to convince myself that that is my sister. It can have whatever legal label, but in the end, biologically, I would be be the baby’s mother; which is exactly how it would show up as on a DNA test.
To be blunt, you’re in denial and don’t respect yourself. Ask friends or family for help leaving him. A terrible relationship is much worse than being by yourself. It sounds like you should be by yourself to build back up, find things you enjoy doing and therapy if it is an option for you.
