I dont want to break up with him. The reason I mentioned that is because I know reddit is kind of notorious for suggesting it. As for that situation, I wasn't openly irritated with him. I tried explaining and then just tried to change the subject but he noticed something was off.
About the opportunities part. I didn't want to humble brag, but I don't really know how else to communicate any other reason for the difference in the stuff we know. Obviously he wouldn't know about cell biology if he didn't have that opportunity to, even if he was interested. I think it's unfair to him if I didn't mention that I had more opportunity to learn as I live in the West.

I didn’t realize you could meet people through a fitness app. Since you didn’t meet in an intentional way or in a dating app, I am inclined to feel like he is married/in a relationship. While it is entirely possible his friend is in the hospital, it is certainly less likely.
