If he really wants you to go why does he not pay and you do a payment plan to him if like $15-30 a month. Which I know in some cases people cannot afford, but I don’t know true situation here. Either way he or his family should have told you the cost initially so you could give a straight up answer whether you could attend or not.
I generally think it’s rude to invite somebody on an outing and not tell them the price initially. Not everyone has deeps pockets and it seems your S/O knows that. Which makes it all the more infuriating.
They talked about whether or not they want to have kids, several times. The complete inability to have kids is an obvious fact that’s highly pertinent to that discussion, so leaving it out is the same as lying.
I mean he can say no to lying but ending such a long, serious relationship over one request (where you DID take no for an answer) is an overreaction
The reason he is raised by his single dad is that his mom ran away from her abusive husband, his dad. He didn't explicitly say it but I asked about something and in his story of that childhood memory , his dad obviously abused her mom. And she has left them. So yes. If he were obsessed with his dad's football team I would find it a red flag. And I have been in an abusive relationship once and don't wanna repeat that nightmare. If his dad has this much influence on his subconscious mind I decided to finish it. I would rather be alone than with any potential abuser. Thanks for confirming my fear.
