Not going to lie, I hate when my sauce is missing. However I’d say “darn can you make sure to check the bag next time”. If this isn’t an isolated incident, she’s shown you who she is, she won’t change. Leave now, you deserve better.
Sometimes people can’t be friends with their ex, either immediately following the break up and sometimes never.
You aren’t responsible for him, his feelings or his mental health—he needs to deal with those things on his own. You’re allowed to move forward on your own.
But, on the other hand I feel he wouldn't feel the need to date/sleep with other women if he really likes me.
An important thing to note here is that you both are likely looking for very different things at this stage. You're looking for an exclusive partner, he's looking to explore and meet new people. This is incompatibility no matter how you slice it, you're not on the same page as he is. If you've already expressed how deeply you feel about him and that you'd like to become serious, if his response is that he isn't ready, you'll have to accept that outcome.
Are you afraid of rehab or are you afraid of detoxing? I've been through both, and yeah, they suck, but once I was through it, I realized that it was soooooo worth it. And it also wasn't as bad as my mind had built it up to be.
And you'll only be alone through the process if you choose to be alone. There will be people offering a hand to help and offering a hand of friendship all along the way.
It's the sort of thing that you don't want now but you do want after. Go to a women's shelter and tell them that you need detox and rehab. You'll never stop thanking yourself for having done it.
I know this isn't relevant to OP's situation but how would a test to become a parent be realistically enforced? It'd be great if it were possible, yeah, but I can't think of any method that wouldn't involve unjustifiable human rights violations.
