Yeah I had to consult two different counselors before I walked away. I think I stayed because I was being gaslit, he had met my family and my children, he knew my twin brother through sports and I actually lost my relationship with my twin brother surprisingly because I was dating the guy even though I was never close with my twin. So I felt that I had invested time, effort and was working towards a future with the guy. I was generous because I felt like he was going to be my husband and that husband and wife should support each other. There were just things I couldn’t overlook like the fact that I told him it was our 6m anniversary and he looked angry and said it was only five. The fact that he said we could have a child then when I took out my IUD he stopped having sex with me basically.
