I do have a supervisor and I have brought the comments he made to both them and my manager as soon as it happened but unfortunately they both said 'they trust my judgement' on how to deal with it and don't feel he is a risk to me. That's one of the reasons I was considering telling them about my own feelings because I know my judgement cannot be trusted, not that I would ever act on how I feel but obviously I have a blind spot with this person. I have every faith that if I leave he will be ok eventually but I do worry about the initial impact on him, I don't think it would cause a relapse but it's a big worry for me, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I caused something like that. I don't think I have much of a choice now though, my options are tell my manager and be fired or quit ,so I will quit.
Makes sense. I do have a child and one on the way, both from my husband. My grandma told me to marry someone I think would be a good father even if divorced and a kind person in general but not without flaws cause that’s just good liars. I think it was good advice and it served me well, but honestly you truly never know. I have a friend who found out after 6 years of marriage that her husband lived a complete lie, absolutely nothing he told her was true, from his age, to his occupation to his freaking name. Scary.
