I agree that conspiring with a ex is really shitty done by him. But bringin the test up at all isnt possible without hurting the woman somewhat, even if the man just sees it from a legal safety standpoint. Women have the legal safety of being sure a child is theirs, men are not given the same legal safety, and its shitty that ots put on him to get that equal legal safety because that will hurt the woman. If it was a standard procedure of some kind and wasnt put on the man to request he wouldnt have to hurt the woman by doing so. Now he has to hurt her to gain equal legal safety regarding the fatherhood of his child, and its shotty for both parts that it is this way. Women never (unless there is a mix up at the hospital with a child born at the same time) have to experience this part of having a child and not being sure about something in this way that will effect you massively for the rest of your life.
