Honestly 19 and 16 is still weird for me. There's A LOT of development from 15 to 19. Just gross.
I remember a kid in my friend group back in high school/college hid the fact that he was dating a 15yo from us (we were all around 18/19). He was rightfully embarrassed and we were rightfully grossed out.
Baby trapping could happen. But don't think its likely in this case. He should definitely stop trying to have sex with her. The lack of communication on her end points to painful sex in my view.
So…he didn't grow out of it. He just encounters fewer opportunities to fight, but is still extremely ready and willing to use excessive, violent force to “teach lessons.” If he's primed to punch someone for looking at him wrong, he can no longer use the excuse of self-defense. Yeah I’d feel frustrated if I was doing poorly in the game too, so I don’t want to belittle his feelings. I’ve raged and stayed “silent” in front of him before. I understand how he wanted to get off the game.
It’s just the way he responded to my texts is bothering me when I tried to confront him about it. He thinks I’m worrying about it too much, but I was just asking a question and talking him out of it, trying to make him feel better.
So far, we also watch anime and movies over Discord together as well as facetiming. We only see each other once a week on weekends or sometimes every 2 weeks (he doesn’t feel like seeing me on weekdays, which is understandable). Again, I feel like I’m always the one who has to initiate our plans whether that’s playing games or facetiming.
