I agree with you. No one would say you need to get over it if you don't want to watch emotional abuse scenes on TV. Cheating is emotionally abusive and puts people in danger (due to the potential impact on their health).
I have never been cheated on, I just have empathy and know how fucked up that situation is to be in.
I have noticed a lot of people on reddit seem to think cheating is no big deal and a thing that most people do so I am not surprised at the response though.
