She's still an alcoholic. She should not have a child in her home if she has relapsed. Can you or your grandparents file for custody of him? She cannot drink, at all. Ever. There is no previously alcoholic. It's a lifetime disease. She has to stop drinking or lose her son.
You need to sit her down and be honest. Do not flip flop. It does sound like you used her while you were sick and now that your better she doesn’t have value anymore. Hopefully you can find a better way to explain to her why you don’t want to continue the relationship, but she deserves a relationship with someone who loves her.
