I agree with every word but I kind of understand the tendency of his male ego to try and overvalue himself in our relationship as he spent most of our friendship to try and get me to give him a chance and I told him to eat shit when he told me he loved me haha, also back then, most of his friends constantly asked him whether he’s seeing me or they can ask me out (which most of them actually did and I never went out with any of them) He’s definitely fishing for a reaction for the ego boost and self reassurance but it’s getting too old and we’re also tad too old for middle school dilemma.
The other thing, definitely out of line, I made sure to communicate that after but I was indeed being too harsh and threw shade here and there especially that I wasn’t in the best emotional state. Throughout us knowing each other, that’s the most out of line thing he ever said to me.
