Personally, I don't even think you necessarily need a confrontation. Someone that acts like that isn't a friend, they're just someone that shits on you in this kind of situation to further their owns ends, even if their own ends are just an ego boost.

Ur angry because it seems like there is a problem and ur wife is brushing it off in that she thinks it'll blow over. You need to have a real talk . You don't have to ask her to move, or give up her job, but she needs to take ur concerns more seriously, as a separate issue, that it's a problem, and it's unlikely going to go away.
I think the resentment comes from maybe you feeling like ur the only one taking this seriously.

Thank you- I am in therapy and have been forever, I love my therapist he is the best. I have all the tools I need to care for myself thankfully, but I’m having trouble finding a spot in conversations with her to leave. She just keeps going and going. It’s a constant problem, and I’m in a remote area so getting out to socialize is harder than usual. My partner is coming out here for a week soon:) He will be a great support for me.
