The theatrics being requested here is putting a bad taste in my mouth. She doesn't want the proposal, or the ring, or the marriage. She wants the theatrics of these things, the perception of it, the image of it. I don't understand this at all. Are you working with her to plan this next event? Or is she just expecting you to take a stab at it without her help and then she tells you if it counts this time?
If she wants things to go a certain way, she has to take responsibility for that desire and help make it happen. Ask her if you're allowed to use the same ring.
