Sorry for late reply, we got in a long distance relationship sort of. We video chat 1-2 times every week and keep in touch daily. She’s cool:) thank you for your advice, also.
Id like to just point out not every southern or Christian is this way. I’m southern Baptist, don’t take the Bible literal (parts were written for a specific group in a specific time), and believe I’m a mix of evolution and the biblical story. I also never tell people they’re going to hell lol, that’s something little kids do ? but also, you are not compatible. Do you want future kids crying because daddy told them mommy is going to hell? I wouldn’t.
Actually I feel offended in your wife's place myself. Why can't you guys just not make a joke out of it and leave comments when you know she doesn't appreciate them? Instead you say she has this “me vs the world” mentality and how she's always hot headed, if you knew that wouldn't you not let these comments be made? I'm confused.
You are at fault actually, it was all fine till your brother asked her to do a better job at it honestly. That's mostly what must've pissed her off bad. He says that at a podcast, its funny to you as its not about you (and if people have no issue with such comments good for you but not everyone has no issue ?) but you say the person the jokes about isn't happy so yeah.
She already knows what she is doing. There isn't anything that you can do to help her. It would be nice if I could validate your desire, but you asked for reality. She needs professional help.
I'd point him towards therapy. A lot of places have community health centers that offer therapy in a sliding pay scale. That means that if you can not afford it, it is reduced to a price you can afford or services are rendered for free. If you're in the U.S. I believe you can call 211 to ask where to find these kinds of services.
The responsibility for his mental health and over all care taking falls on him. And I'm confused as to why 28 days specifically?
It's okay to tell him that this is unreasonable. No is a complete sentence.
You’ve been dating under a year. She didn’t cancel plans with you—there were no plans with you. She made plans with friends.
You get to feel how you feel but all you really told her was that you didn’t want her to go. You didn’t offer an alternative plan.
A big lump with knobs

He thinks I'm being dramatic.
Red flag. Divorce.
