I (35F) bought my husband (33M) what I would consider a cool, self warming lunch box for Christmas. He literally says all the time that he wishes he could take left overs to his job site for lunch but he can't because there's no microwaves at most job sites. I thought I hit the lotto when I saw an ad for Luncheaze and all these comments from construction workers saying that it's a game changer. Like, I for real was confident in this gift. Well, he was very disappointed for sure. It reminded me of when my dad bought my mom a bread maker for their anniversary and she left for 2 days kind of disappointment. Thing is, my daughter totally spoiled the surprise and told him what I was getting and he seemed to be happy with the idea. The total shit on the cake is that he asked me what I wanted and I said a record player. He delivered beyond my expectations, using my debit card, lol. But I can't even enjoy it because he's upset of his gift because it had something to do with his job! My question is… Do you think that if I bought him records from a favorite band, that might redeem my intention? Or what can I do to remedy this situation. I really just want to make him happy!
Btw: I asked him what he wanted multiple times and he always said nothing. Then today when I finally dragged it out of him that he was disappointed in his gift, he said that he would have chose not a gift at all. But that l, I don't believe at all. PS: I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, not that's an excuse to give bad gifts, just that I'm aware I'm clueless at this shit so welcome to all suggestions.
PSS: his gift was $200 and the record player he got me was $240
Also, his bday is coming up in a month and I really need to get my gift giving shit together asap. Please help!!!!

We share the office space, where she also has her desk for rare days she works from home. That said I estimated my extra expenses at max 20$ a month for PC running 8 hours and some coffee. The rest we share. Her gas is around 120$ a montn.
