Do you face any risk going back to your home country? There are countless stories of women going home to their country only for their male family members to confiscate their passports and hold them hostage, or marry them off to prevent them from returning to their western country. Does this happen in your home country? Don’t be naive in believing that your father and brothers wouldn’t try to do that to you if they had the opportunity.

The best option is for your parents to come visit you to limit their control over you and the situation. If they really want a relationship with you and their grandchild, they will talk it out and travel to you. Don’t get trapped by going back to your home country to repair this damage. You are not safe in that environment and your family does not care or want what’s best for you. Please be safe around them.
