I once adopted a dog who had been abused by two previous families. He was a bit of a mess when I got him. He became a very good doggo. It took time and patience but he was always a bit skittish. I had him for 14 years and I still miss him every day.

If you want to be stuck in the sunk cost fallacy and can't bear the thought of ending the relationship, then the only other thing you can do is tolerate a cheater. By tolerating a cheater, you will 1. be lied to often, 2. you will be constantly paranoid about her and which co workers is she out playing with now 3. While living in the state of distrust you will always be spying on every thing about her including phone checks, etc. In other words, this will turn you into someone you never wanted to be and shouldn't have to be.
