Excuse me? Any mother that can wave away CSA videos is a horrible mother that has something wrong with her.
I used to love true crime. It gave me this dark fascination with the darkest side of the human psyche, and it made me glad nothing like that ever happened in my vicinity. Then I had a child. True crime with children happening anywhere on Earth is too close for comfort now, and I can't watch it anymore. Going through pregnancy and a birth and raising a toddler literally changes your brain to be more sensitive to that stuff.
For a mother to say you are wrong for trying to stop a guy from sharing horrible videos about children, means she's missing that motherly update. Her reaction to you putting the idea of CSA videos of her child out there? That screams guilt, not empathy. I'd definitely ask whatever agency you report this shit to that you had a friend who claimed to have friends that watch videos like that regularly and she didn't see anything wrong with it.
If you do that, you'll probably nuke your friendship. But if she's actually a culprit/accomplice? She's going to nuke your friendship anyway and blame your “paranoia” and “sick suggestions” for it.
