  1. We both work but the majority of the finacials are paid by me. Like I am the main provider. However she has tried to put in her part. She has put in her own money into my house.

I have tried to do my part in eating an dcooking helathy. BUt she does not put her part. It feels like it i sall me.

I will sy we both watch the kids. Idk how other dads are but I am very involved with my kids.

I am ok with her replacing me. She deserves a person. My kids hating me is another thing. It sucks because they will not understand that I was unhappy.

  2. Ehhh I feel like this is a little too precious a comment, especially given that OP has clearly stated that the alternatives described are not satisfactory. It would be unreasonable of her to LITERALLY kick him out, like actually prevent him from physically being there, but trying to find a compromise w her partner so that a need of hers can be met is a perfectly fair way to go about this

  3. The absolute best thing I did when I left my 1st husband was figure out wtf I was doing and start the process of being in an adult relationship. My husband did the same thing. It SUCKS at times because you have to examine your issues-but it is definitely time to fix it before you become “Ross-the divorce force”. Good luck.

  4. He is acting like a giggling schoolgirl with a crush. And from your post history, he sounds like an excessively horny and weird bastard who gets obsessed over every girl that shows him 1 ounce of attention. This would be more normal behavior for a 13 year old boy going through the midsts of puberty…. but a 34 year old man? He's never going to change at this point. He is going to turn into one of those old creeps chasing 20 year old tail in a few years time. Dump the guy and let him obsess over 100+ other women. Unfortunately he doesn't view you as special if he gets so attached to other women, but there's another guy out there who will view you as special and treat you well.

  5. Coming from a very conservative family, it has been my lifelong dream to move out and be free for once in my life, pursue opportunities based on whether I think they will be good for me, not based on whether my parents will give me permission for it… For once just be able to live without stress or fear and get a chance to prove myself in that environment…

Choose your career and your freedom.

I really don't want to let him go.

If you and he are meant to be together, then you and he will find a way to make it work. And if you’re not, then you’ll be free to find someone who has the same goals as you do.

Yes it’ll suck for a while, but it’s a bad idea to give up on building your career, and then later you might break up anyway. So go, don’t feel guilty, and don’t look back. You can always re-evaluate your relationship later. Take the job and go. You won’t regret it, I promise you.

Oh and btw.. if your parents are the type to control you and clip your wings, be aware that you may choose someone who controls you in the same way because it feels normal to you. Be wary of that. Maybe some therapy once you get settled might help. Good luck.
