3. In a healthy relationship, one partner doesn't get to make decrees like this. There is discussion. It also seems hostile for him to either be unwelcoming 5 family or to leave altogether when they visit. I'm sure on some level they expect to spend time with him as well. 5. Why is it always assumed that “poly” is some kind of identity? It's not like gay/bi/lesbian orientations. LGB applies to their attractions within a polycule, or whatever it's called, so poly is just a behavior and nothing else.

6. Most people are insecure. For good reason, too many times the opposite sex gender is just hanging out waiting to take their shot.

   However there are exceptions. My best friend is a girl. Her boyfriend knows me, and we're friends too. I don't flirt with or hit on her, because I'm not a trash human. Which is rare, she shows me conversations she has with her other male friends and it's mostly them hitting on her, or sexual jokes.

   Still it's shouldn't be a red flag.
